If you have ever built a computer yourself or opened your computer case up you have no doubt been witness to the wealth of wires and cables inside a typical computer. The Vantec PC Cable Sleeving Kit helps to reduce the clutter inside your computer case by wrapping your wires in an attractive sleeve. Not only does the Vantec PC Cable Sleeving Kit make your computer look nicer, it can help reduce the temperatures inside your computer by helping to increase air flow by reducing the clutter inside the system.
Vantec PC Cable Sleeving Kit in Use
I used the green and red UV reactive Vantec PC Cable Sleeving Kits in my system. They were very easy to use and look great when illuminated by your UV lights. The green especially glow in a really cool color and looked great.
Using the Vantec PC Cable Sleeving Kit is easy and you simply cut the long length of sleeving to your length requirements. It is very important to note that you must melt the ends of the cable sleeving where you cut it or it will unravel. I was able to accomplish this easily with a simple lighter and melting the ends for a second.
The heat shrink tubing that is included to secure the sleeving is easy to use. I found that using a hair dryer worked somewhat, but was not really hot enough to reduce the size of the heat shrink to the point of a really tight fit. I had no heat gun available, so I again resorted to my lighter and it worked well.
