The 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe 2-Mode is a lot of fun. The on-board in-dash control center handles the navigation system, the audio package, and the 2-mode hybrid display. What's really cool about the hybrid display is it gives you an idea of how the system works. After some time you'll start to understand what type of driving behavior will really maximize the fuel savings and you will be able to take advantage of even better fuel economy then if you were to ignore it and drive the way you normally do.
The Chevrolet Tahoe 2-Mode was the 2007 Green Car of the Year. The improvement in fuel economy results in a 50% savings, giving you the same in town mileage as a 2008 Toyota Camry! On the highway, you won't see as much of a savings because the V8 engine is being used nearly all the time, but you will see an improvement over a traditional V8.
Coming in at just over $50,000 USD the Tahoe 2-Mode Hybrid is not being given away, but the technology inside, the fuel economy it brings to the table over other SUVs should more than make up for it.
The spacious interior really gives you extra belly room if you are in need of it (Like me!) and since the Tahoe 2-Mode only comes one way (loaded) you have all the luxury you need to be comfortable. All the Hybrid Models Include:
All Leather Seats (Front Heated Seats)
Premium Bose Stereo w/Nav System
Rear Camera (Very handy!)
Head Curtain Side Impact Air Bags (Front and Rear)
OnStar Safe & Sound Service
Air Conditioning
Power Locks, Windows, Mirrors
Aerodynamic Package
Cruise Control
LED Tail lamps
18-Inch Aluminum Wheels
All in all I really enjoyed driving the 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe 2-Mode. It's fun, flashy, and economical when compared to other SUV's (or Toyota Camrys!). 3 out of 3 Stars for the Tahoe 2-Mode.
